‘Departures’ is now out in UK Cinemas

The must-see Northern comedy-drama Departures, featuring APT’s Olly Rhodes, Isabelle Smith, Kelsea Knox, Andrew Purcell, Charlotte Linighan, Lynn Roden, Harvey Weedon, and Jake Haymes, has now been released and is available to watch at cinemas across the UK! 

Departures dissects a toxic relationship with biting humour and raw emotion. This Manchester-made feature follows Benji, who meets the elusive and dominant Jake at an airport check-out gate. Their whirlwind monthly getaways to Amsterdam soon spiral into a doomed power dynamic. After being dumped, Benji struggles to move on, slipping into addiction and fleeting hook-ups, haunted by the love he lost.

Will Edgerton joins the cast of ‘All New People’

The excellent Will Edgerton will be appearing as ‘Charlie’ in the English Theatre of Hamburg production of All New People.

All New People will be running from the 30th April until the 28th June at the ETH.

Olly Rhodes stars in Channel 5’s new series ‘The Teacher’

We’re thrilled to announce that Olly Rhodes can now be seen starring as ‘Sam Simpson’ in the new series of The Teacher on Channel 5. 

The returning drama will premiere on Monday 30th March at Channel 5, 9pm, with the remaining episodes following the rest of the week till Thursday 2nd April. 

The Teacher Series 3 follows Helen Simpson, a veteran Head of Drama at a private boarding school, who becomes trapped in a psychological war with a manipulative student, Cressida. Following a student’s suicide and a faked incident, Helen must battle to save her career, her reputation, and her son from devastation.

Allison Saxton is cast in new Channel 4 series ‘A Woman of Substance’

The lovely Allison Saxton will feature in Channel 4’s new drama series A Woman of Substance, playing ‘Mrs. Easton’ in Episode 6!

We’re very excited to announce that Harvey Weedon will soon be seen in the new BBC/CBBC series Crookhaven as recurring reg ‘Bogdan’. 

The series will release on BBC One, CBBC and BBC iPlayer on Sunday 22nd March 2026. 

Crookhaven follows Teen thieves who learn to use their skills for good at a secret school run by Caspian Lockett. Young pickpocket Gabriel Avery joins The Crooked Network to fight ‘The Nameless’ and discovers his destiny.

‘ANIMOL’, with Tareq Al-Jeddal, will premiere at Berlin International Film Festival

We’re thrilled to announce that Tareq Al-Jeddal‘s feature debut, ANIMOL, will be heading to Berlin International Film Festival this year! Tareq stars as ‘Omar’ in Ashley Walter’s new feature. 

The festival will be taking place from the 12th to 22nd February 2026 in Berlin, Germany. 

ANIMOL is a raw, affecting coming-of-age drama set within a young offenders’ institution. Produced by Joi Productions, in association with Rogue State and SLNda, for Film4, Sky Cinema and the BFI.

Arthur Kay is back in the returning BBC series ‘High Hoops’

We’re heading back to school as the second series of the sitcom High Hoops has been released, starring Arthur Kay as lead ‘Conor O’Neil’, and also featuring Julian Kay later in the series. 

All episodes are now available to watch on BBC iPlayer, or catch a weekly release of each episode on CBBC. 

The CBBC sitcom follows tall and clumsy Aoife O’Neill, who joins a struggling school basketball team after moving to a new area. Through 3×3 basketball, she finds her place while trying to help transform the team’s fortunes.

Charlie De’Ath to star in Channel 5 series ‘Play for Today – Special Measures’

We’re excited to announce that Charlie De’Ath will be starring as ‘Pete’ in the drama series Play For Today’s upcoming episode Special Measures. This will be showing on Channel 5 at Thursday 11th December, 9pm. 

The episode follows when a surprise OFSTED inspection hits an underfunded Liverpool school, newly promoted Laura Abbott must navigate staff burnout, student crises, and personal heartbreak – all in one chaotic day that pushes her to the brink and back.
